Bridgestone R283A run flat damage

    Sounds like they didn't want to give your any credit on the old tire. Then they would end up selling it to someone for a trailer.

    I got 196k out of a set of XZA3s before the right shoulder river wear was getting down too much. The next set was 283 ecopias that we’re starting to river wear at 120k. Same with the truck I drive now. About 110-120k and that outside right shoulder starts river wearing. Being the typical fleet truck, shocks are never changed, fittings are greased every 40-50k along with 5th wheel unless I do it myself.

    Yeah my XZA3 steers were perfect all the way until 160k miles. These 283A's..about 115k miles. I had replaced the passenger side a few weeks prior and it actually lost air pressure really quick while I was driving and came off the rim and rolled away in Chicago of all places.

    That cost me a rim and a road service call and could've caused a really serious accident since I was loaded with 40k of liquid oxygen at the time.

    I guess these Bridgestones are only good for 100k apparently.

    Never again. I'm going back to Michelin steers once these are toast.
