Brite Logistics INC scam me

We try to keep from criticizing other people's spelling and grammar. Not everyone on here has the advantage of a good education.
For a lot of them, English is a second language.
A little patience is required.

 

I make it a personal rule to only criticize grammar/spelling when the person in question is criticizing people's intelligence. Yes, take pride in your language. But the point of language is to communicate. If the person is able to communicate, then the job is done. My mom literally taught my dad how to read, and he's the most brilliant mechanic I've ever met. Life doesn't revolve around your ability to spell.

 

Yup. One of my nephews is a jet mechanic for Boeing's test division. Engineering degree, A&P license, in house technical schools, he's had them all. The kid is brilliant.
He reads well and retains information like a sponge.
But his composition and spelling skills when he writes makes you think you're dealing with a third grader. He struggles with it every day and always will
Boeing recognizes his gifts and overlooks his short comings. There's a lesson there for the rest of us.

My phone has auto correct and predictive texting .. it is nice but the auto correct pisses me off sometimes .. And I also get in a hurry and forget to type words plus if I use my talk to text mode it's really ugly because my American phone doesn't cooperate well with my Irish accent so I need to slow down and proof read before I click on Post Reply .. so I try not to oriticize others.
But the 1 thing that burns my britchs is to read how somebody typed the word BREAKS when they are talking about BRAKES I have a hard time with that 1

 

How about loose and lose? Those two get turned around all the time.
Another one that we see is the word defiantly being used when they mean definitely.

 

I have days when my writing could be that of a professional author. And then I'll have days where I can barely piece a sentence together without it resembling the scribbling of a halfwit.

 

LOL, yeah that one bothers me. But we're on a trucking website, and "breaks" are oft a topic of discussion. You have to let it slide. It's like every third post.

I know and I do let it slide.. because I have my struggles too.. but that 1 gets to me
