I had a long conversation with Mike yesterday and a brief one with Kassie today to follow up on a couple of items and she said she will start the process and get back to me, hopefully tomorrow.

Hey guys how ya'll doing been reading checking into Britton some I live in southern Oh by WV right off Us 35 do you Think flatbed or van would be better down this way work don't bother me just not as young as I used to be 47 worked in the steelmill the last 10yrs off and on and do they run the N.E. like NYC or Long Island
-
Hello @freebird1969 , I can't speak about the van side but as flatbed I've been through that area you're from several times now. Take that route from Dayton through Chillicothe, Gallapolis, and into WV an VA.
I personally haven't had to deal with the northeast. PA and MD have been the farthest north and east I've been. I've heard of the rare run to Maine or Vermont but definitely not into NYC.
Seems you'd be in a good area to be busy hauling steel beams, plate, and lumber. I have yet to haul coil but I've only been here about 6 months.
Let us know if you need further info.freebird1969 Thanks this. -

Flat $500 per week training pay. I trained for 6 weeks, got a few weekends off during training and still received that every week. After taxes ~$400.
Did you get your CDL recently or do you have experience? -
I got it a couple yrs ago only got about 2mo w/ class A they might want me to take a refresher
-
Refresher may not be necessary. I'd recommend you scrounge up the certificate as I'm sure safety will want a copy. They wanted to see mine to ensure it had the current "FMCSA approval" badge on it.
You may be able to train for a number of weeks. The training would allow you the seat time to pass the driving test easily before getting issued a truck.freebird1969 Thanks this. -
@MrEd figured we should keep it to a single thread.
I should be headed through Sioux Falls this week. I'm supposed to pick up that new pre pass for the rest of the tolls our current one doesn't cover. Kansas, Texas, maybe some others.
Just clicked over 498k on this 2012 and hoping to get one of the many 2017's that are just sitting. -
Unloaded in Baltimore the other day and ran into a new Britton driver sporting a 2017.
Claims the 670 isn't big enough for him. I'd rather have a 780 myself but I know it's never gonna happen.
He's also upset about the health insurance changes and may not be here much longer.
I remember hearing him on the conference call last week and sounded to me he's not understanding the changes.
