Oh boy! I am 6ft1 ,230 pounds and I would have genuine fear of telling my wife that our son was up there! That would have to stay a father/son secret.

I am sure you know a heck of a lot more than I, man or woman your experience speaks for itself, owing to the 1.5 million tons of road salt we drive through every winter, (that’s just in Quebec)none of the bolts can be undone after 6 or 7 years. It devours vehicles up here. I hope your truck is good for 30 years, I was speaking to our northern issue of salt on everything. We have many big salt deposits and our department of highways uses as much as they can lay hands on. Just our small snow clearing company goes through about 15 tons over the winter.

That’s why we have a high turnover rate on vehicles up here, Saskatchewan,Alberta and British Columbia don’t have the access to salt and can’t really move the volume needed to de ice the roads properly, sand is their option out that way….not the best option imo.

“You guys” was addressing the group as a group, not men only

That de-icing stuff they spray seems to be far worse than salt. Luckily it seems like only the major cities out west use it and I avoid the cities like the plague lol.

It does the job well, but it likes to eat steel at the same rate as ice. Not to mention the bridge rebar

@Carpenter Scotty We're good I get the "guy" misnomer all the time. Of course some of your favorite people are women. After all one brought you into the world! I know about your area as I have been all across there in the winter -40 wind -80 sucks. How ever I'm not sure I wouldn't rather have that than this infernal 100° + 200% humidity here. The older I get the more I like the cold.
