I can't seem to find an answer to an issue I'm having.
I am on a dedicated account and get a pallet jack each day in my trailer. I keep being sent broken pallet Jack's that are unsafe to use. I have told the cross dock every time and my DBL. Yet they continue to send me broken pallet Jack's.
How do I solve this issue?

We don't get power pallet Jack's. One is missing a wheel and 2 are missing the stop that prevent the handle from going all the way forward and allows you to push the jack.
It wouldn't be a big deal, but engines are heavy especially on a lift gate.

@gentleroger might have a good solution for you. Give him a minute

I have no good solution, just a cranky one.
Refuse to unload and take it back. But that's me being cranky this morning.
More productively- are you CLEARLY marking the pallet jack as out of service when you send it back to the cross dock? AND EXPLICITLY talking with Ops to make sure the cross dock knows?
Are you getting the same couple of jacks over and over again? Take a sharpie and put a discreet number somewhere (or duct tape).
Have you made your Ops Manager aware of this? You can find your Ops managers number on the home page in compass.
Have you talked to your safety manager?
Sometimes you have to keep kvetching until things change.Flat Earth Trucker, alds, Magoo1968 and 2 others Thank this. -
