BROKEN TRUCK

I just had the double idler gear replaced on mine. I have 1.3 million miles. Cost me about 16k but had other things replaced while it was apart.

Are you planning to keep the truck long term?

 

@Estrella80 where is the truck broken down at?

 

If you have the funds to repair the truck, I suggest you do so. A decent truck will cost much more than that.

 

If you spend the $15,000 on the repairs how much cash $ will you have left for operating ???

 

It really depends on the condition of the rest of the rig.
If everything has been maintained well, in good shape, clean and in good condition, with nothing needing major repairs it may make sense to fix it, especially if it has been otherwise reliable.

If it needs a lot of work soon or has been problematic for you then consider a new truck.
