So...what if I had wanted to work for a broker and learn how to post loads and find trucks, etc, but didn't want to have to go out and find my own clientele of shippers, or even find new shippers for the broker?

Basically, I think I'd be plenty happy enough just posting loads and finding trucks, etc. for the freight that my employer would already have.

Are there positions available for this?

If there are, what are the necessary prerequisites for a job like this? I don't even necessarily need my pay to be 100% commission-based.

    Thanks

With no book of shippers/carriers,well not worth a lot. Big brokers hire people like that all the time for little money. I can get people from the schools around here that are in logistics/transportation for little/no money, they get school credit and experience. Usually more a PITA than it's worth. That's what you want to do call CH,TQL,they hire no experience all the time.
