Broker Scam- US Cargo Brokers (Chicago)

Please be aware that this broker is prone to blackmail and extortion. We booked a load with them and had to cancel due to issues with the trailer, we did so in a timely and apologetic manner. They immediately wrote a freight guard report falsely accusing us of fraudulent activity.
We tried to solve this matter with them on multiple occasions. They ignored any attempt we made until money was brought up at which point they requested we sign an NDA and pay them $1300 to remove the review. They are aware of how freight guards can impact a carrier and are using this to their financial advantage. There are also multiple allegations that their entire operation is based on a "double brokerage" and illegal activity.
