Do you know any of these other schools out there? I am having a hard time finding any. Any information you provide would be very helpful.
I'm in the same boat...looking and researching but hard to find solid info on whats what. I've learned so far that most companies want you to have experience. Training schools are a ripoff and I'm looking at the Independent Dispatcher vs. Agent difference now. Please keep us posted on what you find and I will do the same!! Thanks Todd
Lord Bless me, Want to be a Broker? Find loads for Truckers in your area. Treat them right, they call you again. Throw them some bad loads, they forget your number. I'm a Prostitute, I get paid by the mile. Your a Pimp, set me up with a load.
Do your homework BEFORE signing up with any broker school! Call around and see who will hire you as an agent with NO experience. You will find the answer is just about NOBODY! Then just about your only option is to go to work as an agent for the company that runs the school. You may want to change your career plans.
I like to combine both the educational aspect and actual experience. If you could get a part time job and do the course at the same time from a reputable school that has proven results it will be helpful. At the end of the day business is really not about how truck loads you do its about how you help your customers. I would recommend that you also speak to well established broker for some know how to really make it in the industry. I hope what I've said makes sense.
