I almost always call the receiver myself in a situation like this, especially if I am at least a day from getting there. Usually I can get an appointment near my ETA. Once I have the new schedule I contact the broker to keep them in the loop.

I read the first few reply's and I can't say anymore. I would make zero apologies for that and tell them it has already effected future business with them. Unacceptable....I won't even hold my truck for brokers I know well.....and they know it! It only took me losing a full day ONE TIME to make that perfectly clear to all brokers......fast or lose me.....I am only one man and I do my stuff blazingly fast and I expect the same on the other end.
