I average 10-20%. The past couple of months have been higher than usual- I think I'm rolling an average of 16ish percent this month. Less of my volume accounts rolling and a lot more partial work. Tends to skew my numbers a little. I tend to average 20-25k a month in margin over 80-100 loads a month. We're on a hybrid pay plan, so a base salary, plus a sliding scale for commission. With benefits, I'm pretty happy with how the last couple of years have gone.

Wow, that’s fantastic. Are those all your own customers that you got or are some brought in through inside/outside sales?
Sure wish we were doing that kind of volume. -
All my own, though a handful were disbursed when people left the office for some reason or another.Thouren Thanks this.

Bet the brokerage you work for loves you. I’m surprised you haven’t decided to go out on your own. Probably non compete combined with startup costs and having to find new customers?Thouren Thanks this.

Yes, that's commission structure, sorry I wasn't clear on that. I don't have any complaints, they provide tons of help with leadgen and make it absurdly easy to cover loads.
-
Noncompetes are VERY strongly enforced. To the point where if you leave and go anywhere that remotely could involve trucks, better just go dark on your LinkedIn/Social accounts and not tell anyone where you are working for a year.Midwest Trucker Thanks this.

Those, plus I rather like the folks I work with. It's rare to find an employer you like this much.Thouren and Midwest Trucker Thank this.
