If you ever get a brokers job, pm me your contact info, I wouldn’t mind setting up with normal brokers as i build up my contacts book.

Last I heard it was only $7500 a year for $75k bond? Any brokers can verify or correct that number?

If I'm not mistaken, it's like insurance in that your business experience and credit factor into the rates as well as the bonding company. I don't pay for it - that's the boss's deal, but I think @Midwest Trucker can probably advise.

Yes...it depends on your credit score, some pay 5%,
With good ratings you can get away with 2.3% or less of 75k.

When it was a 10k bond and we were starting out it was like 1500 and then when it went to 75k it went up to 2500. Now it’s gone down to 1800 per year. We have had the same surety since 2012 and no claims. Good credit.

I’d say truckaholic is accurate. If you have past problems or bad credit though I’d say it would be maybe even upwards of 10k or a flat out denial.

    Ruthless and zmster2033 Thank this.
