Someone will, probably just days away from posting a going out of business u-tube video blaming their failure on anything else but their own bad decision making.

I saw it, but also noticed it was over a weekend. More ideal for a local at either end, but far from ideal rate. No tarps or straps on a reefer, and that rate would have to be $2500+ to get my attention, even if I lived near one of the end points.

That extra $850 goes toward the fact that you gotta baby sit it 3 days, but the brokers aren’t dumb they throw it up there for 2.50-ish a mile hoping for a idiot to grab it(and chances are….) get it there then make the call saying “hey man, you gunna have to pay a little for this detention”. Broker says ok I’ll pull $250 out of my “own” pocket to try to help you out buddy.

Load postings now are a race to the bottom!
Brokers must be in competition to see who will out do each other posting lower rates than one another.

Whenever I broker loads out I try to take 30% profit margin….. I also try to bid it high enough when the carrier calls, he’s happy with the rate.

How about post loads at rates that will get loads moved in a timely manner.

Moving 5 loads in a week at 10% is better than you maybe moving one load a week because you're greedy hoping for a stupid cheap truck to fall in your lap.
