Something to be said when people start calling opposing side of the argument names.

oh well guess one can say the same to you because your advocating for government help for brokers.

If your argument is based on “government kills everything it touches” then one would deduce that government killed owner operators, then from that argument one can take is this” if government stepped in to regulate trucking” their inaction on the brokers side helps them because they are not being chocked to death.

On a side note, I did very well last year, I’ve been sitting this out for a few months and might start back up again in a few weeks.

    I don’t haul cheap freight.

There are two kinds of business people. Those that know how to run their business and those that want the gubberment to hold their hand and wipe their nose. Who you choose to be determines if you'll make it.

Government is not going to make any regulation that is going to help your bottom line, what you're looking for will have the complete opposite effect, but I've only told you guys that about 10 times here.

Lack of government regulations is direct help to brokers.

government holds down carriers while brokers shaft them.

Yes your advocating for brokers running free while gooberment regulates owner ops to death.

Side note, anyone who believes rates are going to go up after this is dreaming.

Now brokers know people can run for cheaper.

the ole “I run this lane for cheaper” is now the standard.

Wrong, I'd like to see more regulations go away, starting with Elogs, hell hos in general should go away. I'm just not naive enough to think the fix for regulations is more regulations.
Rates WILL go up, as more owner ops with 3k a month truck payments and 40k a year insurance premiums go out of buisnesss the rates will come back. Then more dummies will buy trucks, drive the rates back down and you all ##### about the same old ride everybodys been on for 40 years.
The real fix for the oversatuaration would be brokers refusing to work with people with at fault, DOT reportable accidents for being high risk.

They should take their truck home and use it as their children's playhouse and stick with company driver positions.

So that’s the thing, your talking about how brokers are working with crappy carriers, how carriers are regulated to death.

my point is you can’t regulate one side and not regulate the other.

    Either all or none.
