Brokers are thieves!!!

So your rate con dictated you be paid detention pay and you didn’t get it? If that’s the case why haven’t you chased your money down?

 

One sure fire way to ALWAYS get paid by a medium-large size company. Email the top 5 executives from the company or message them on LinkedIn. You'll be utterly amazed at how fast your phone starts blowing up as the executives subordinates scramble to make sure that they NEVER receive another email from you. Works within 24 hours 100% of the time.

 

I've almost done that a few times but it resolved itself.

 

As someone who works for a medium-large size company, I can confirm that the above is completely accurate. I can also confirm you will be put on a "do not use" list immediately as well. Which may not be a big deal if you are trying to chase money they owe you, but if you were hoping to do business together in the future I would I would steadily escalate up the ladder if possible instead of skipping a bunch of rungs and going right to the top.

That's what happens as soon as times get tough, suddenly everybody is a thief if they "aren't paying you enough" or "charging me too much for working on my ####."

 

These threads just show how close to going under some of the owner operators are.

 

I just get a kick out of the disparity in posts between 2018 and now. Didn't see me out here going, "YOU GUYS ARE CHARGING TOO MUCH!" You charge what you charge, and I accept or don't based on market factors. It is what it is. Do I wish we were still at 2018 spot rates? Yep. Do I still have to work with shippers in the current environment who are price conscious and consequently won't pay those rates? Also yep.

 

Exactly. There's some desperation out there right now.

 

Would you buy or sell your home using a broker that does not disclose the commission fee or does not disclose what the sellers asking price was for the home ?

 

If I told a real estate broker I want to get 400,000 for my house, as long as he gets me 4 hundred thousand I really don’t give a #### what he makes. Because that’s what I wanted to get out of it.
