    Once the kids are out of the house in the next couple of years.... It's a one level house for us. Wife and I HATE STAIRS.

    For example, I used to frequent Warren Dunes State Park beach close to Sawyer, MI. Further north there's a nice Waco beach in Bridge men, MI.
    Unfortunately, those became too popular in the last 10 years or so. I don't recommend them to visit during weekend at Summer time because it looks like half of Chicago population crowds it badly but during weekdays they're splendid. You will find nice places further north in St Joseph and South Holland.
