You have no idea if the rate was a contract or spot rate. What was $3K when you did the load may only be $2K the next time. Yet you'll think it's $3K and the broker is ripping you off.

I want to open a pizza shop but instead of paying Domino’s their franchise fee I want the government to step in and make the wholesalers sell me the ingredients for the same price that Domino’s gets. That way it will be fair.

There's no need to belittle those who disagree with you. A viewpoint different from yours isn't an attack, it's just an opinion. Honor the difference.
By the way, an insult is still considered an insult even if it's wrapped in passive-aggressive language. Don't insult our intelligence either, Joe. We see through what you say.

If you're going to say that a brokers commission should be regulated, don't try and use an ignorant example like a real estate broker.
A truck broker pays the carrier.
A real estate broker pays no one.
A truck broker pays the carrier whether they get paid or not.
A real estate broker has no obligation to pay anyone.
Your not stuck with a truck broker just because you hauled a load for them
Your stuck with a real estate broker for X amount of time, make the sale on your own and you still owe them.Rideandrepair, Oxbow, Siinman and 1 other person Thank this. -
What was the idea of adding to the thread discussion of otherwise universal topic the immigration element, if not an attempt to belittle the op of this thread?Rideandrepair Thanks this. -

Brokers aren't to have anything in it.
5%, 10%, 15% whatever market establishes once the transparency is in place.
It is not a coincidence that real estate commission is stable and predictable oscillating around 5%.
I say, transparency enables that.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
I'd listen to some of these guys though. They know more than you do. It's a learning opportunity for you. Or not. Your choice entirely.88 Alpha, Oxbow, Siinman and 1 other person Thank this. -
I don't find in your role here on this forum any convincing authority as to why I should listen to them and be, somehow, inferior to them.
However, maybe you should fulfill your role as a moderator better, and intervene when direct insults actually happen. Someone telling me that I live in HUD and live in a mediocre life or insuniating that I arrived from an inferior part of the world and harm this country with my upbringing is an unsubstantiated and blatant personal attact than my telling you that I can't, somehow, find too much value in your otherwise viciously intended post.
