Brokers Percentage

everybody has to get there peice of the pie. No one makes or charges to much. if the customer,shipper, and o/o agree ex... Now is it alway good business to over charge for the market... NO but hey its called free enterprise for a reason. keep #####ing and fussing and the feds will have to try and regulate it too. We all know how that will turn out. Take the minimum wage crap and apply it to this industry.. yep bad bad ju ju.

 

Who cares what the broker makes!

You're in business at your rate!
If you're getting that and they're 2X more.... well good for them!

 

What can I do if the broker hasn't paid in over 30 days? Solution anyone?

 

First, have you called them?

if you got that load off of a load board and you pay extra to the load board to see brokers credit?report them to the load board. Some load boards will help you get paid.

If that doesn't get you anywhere, and they're over 90 days late. File a small claims case against them at your local court house. When they receive the summons they'll likely get a ahold of you and try to pay you., make them reimburse you for filing, having them served,,and taking the day off to go do it.

If they don't contact you, and they don't show up in court you'll win. You can submit that judgement to their bonding company and they will have to pay you. That is, unless the funds have all been depleted buy other people filing.

There's other things you can do to make them want to get you paid but I not going to talk about them publicly.
