Brokers?

New to this board but just read all 24 pages of this thread....Ok so Ive been running 8 to 10 trucks out of Indy for the last 8 years. all I seem to be able to land is load board freight. Yea some good but mostly bad. Ive solicited 100s of shippers and they all are so used to cut back hall rates that when I quote a real rate like 2.50 to 3.00 they laugh and say there getting it done much cheaper. What am I doing wrong? I have cross docking and 30k sq ft warehousing, reefer trailers and vans.I need help Im still only avg. 1.55 most weeks. I go west for arnd 1.20 and back for 1.80 or so. Heck to CA I go for 1.00 and right now only seeing less than 2.00 out. I use Trans Cor Dac, ITS, GETL loaded.
