Ha aint that the truth,as the say .......well you know what happens.
I think we've all done things in a truck that made us feel like an idiot.
I remember once when I was still OTR I had the hood up while fueling and flipped the windshield wipers up so I could give the windshield a good cleaning, well when I was done I put the squeegee back the bucket and dropped the hood.
Dropped the hood right on my still flipped up wipers and smashed them all to .....
:biggrin_2556:...doah!....just one off my list of oops moments lol.

I just did that a couple days ago! Put drivers side down, flipped latch and closed hood then sat there and wondered why it didn't close properly lol. Glad I always keep spares under the bunk!

So that's why FL wipers don't flip up. I knew that there had to be a good reason.

Stuff happens, and not just to me. I try to never get in a hurry while working on the ground, falls are painful and fixing screw-ups isn't good.

I'm glad the OP could still smile about it.

I never take my load locks out when sweeping out the trailer. I lay them on one side of the trailer and when I am ready to sweep that side I toss them over to the clean side.

Like I said in a previous post I always move locks to the side when sweeping trl out.But im also guilty of doing a stupid thing. Before I put locks on the cat walk and got busy with something else then leave and forget they're there.Happened twice during my carreer and both times I remembered before getting too far down the road and thank god they were still on the cat walk when I stopped. Now immediately when I have ahold of the load locks they go in the holster.

I dont have much of a load lock worry since the receivers usually steal them after unloading me. It reached a point where I got tired of trying to get into the freezer to retrieve them since it had locked doors with keypad entry. I think Tyson steals them on purpose they have about 100 load locks piled up from truckers.

Reminds me of removing my half bumper after I busted it up in front of everyone at the shipper.
