It's just a military like appearance. When I worked for Georgia Department of Corrections (West GA Boot Camp) it was a requirement there as well. It's not a big deal and it's a family like atmosphere. But, all careers aren't for everyone.

Were you in the shop at qualylast week? Saw a truck that looked like the one in your profile.

A CO job and a trucking job aren't even in the same ballpark. Not an accurate comparison IMO.

Not trying to compair, just trying to say each job has things you may not want to do. Only thing you need to ask yourself is, what am I willing to put up with. Me, personally, the shaving thing wasn't a big deal. If it is to you then I'm sure you'll find something else.
For instance, I like knowing that I don't have to worry about load boards or going into an area that I can't get out of without eating unpaid miles. But, by doing this I make the same paid miles whereas if your booking your own freight you may get a better loaded pay per mile. Bruce Oakley is a terrific company to work for and having to shave is a small price to pay

Indeed. What we're willing to put up with is totally on point. You hit the nail on the head. Everywhere has their pros and cons.

Between 2500 to 2800 after all deductions for insurance, fuel, Qualcomm fees (it's optional Qualcomm is mandatory at Oakley) 175 a week for wet kit Payment, and 200 a week for cash advances. Once the Wet kit is paid off that'll add another 175 to my check
