Well started the week off running up to Wisconsin and had 3 drops, finished my last drop and the trailer went into alarm, ended up needing some belts and an alternator.. Easy peasy quick stop at thermal King and 2 hours later off and running..

Picked up in Chicago for Edwardsville, MO to drop my trailer and hook an empty.. I like them type of loads with no waiting..

Have my empty and I'll pick-up at St Joe, Mo again tonight and run back towards Chicago but with a drop in California first.. Haha.. California, MO.. Hehe!!

My hope is a quick turn around out of Chicago back down this way and then get a reset in and start all over again next week..

Oh yah funny story!! So I was parked in Chicago and a Navaho driver pulls in the lot.. Plenty of parking and a very big lot, but I must look like a nice guy so he decides to pull in next to me..

Now it's a big lot, many ways to approach backing up next to me, but duffes decides to try and blindside in, and apparently they do not teach get out and look in Russia!! So here he comes like the titanic towards an ice berg.. BOOM!! Great, I get out give him the eyebrow up look.. He smiles puts his hands up and pulls forward.. Well I guess smacking the side of Bruengers trailer once was not enough, he decides to start backing again, I get the hell out of the way.. And just like déjà vu .... BOOM.. So now I'm getting a little pissed.. Lord give me strength!! I go up to the truck with my arms up like a goose chasing something, and am yelling to stop..

Well after a few sorry's and an exchange of information we got him to move over and park a few feet further away.. Minimal damage to the trailer just some surface scratches along the rail..

I called Bruenger to report it and informed them it was minor..

Anywho.. I sure hope when Trump becomes president he sends some of these Europeans home.. The really lack common sense.. It's bad enough we have to deal with Canadians!! Hehe

Wow.. This delivery is literally downtown Chicago.. I have never had to drive through downtown, under the rail, and pass the clubs.. I promise they will never get me to do this again!!

These roads are so freaking tight, one way that a 70' semi has no business being here..

I hope they unload me quick at 4:00 am so I can get the hell out of Dodge..

You're not in Dodge. You're in Chicago. :)
    Where are you delivering?

Oh, and I hate Eastern European "drivers".

Pioneer Wholesale.. I wondered if it use to be the Al Capone meet market.. Lol you know the kind of place you could get special meat..

I about an hours time I was approached 4 homeless guys wanting money.. Must of been wearing my, I'm an ATM MACHINE hat.. Lol

Anyway it sucked, I don't ever wish to go back.. Don't get me wrong, driving a large truck under the rail while cars honk and flip u the bird because your roof top is 1/2 inch from rubbing the rail so u have to drive 5 mph for 11 blocks has an element of satisfaction.. You know, you have a reason to make the 4 wheelers mad.. Lol but I could wait a while before I do that again.. Lol

Bless you RERM you are a strong person to put up with this day in and out.. Lol

I'm at Perfered Frezzers now.. I get to be a work in!! Yahoooo!!! Lol
But on the positive I get this to KC Mo tomorrow and then head home again.. Got my 2 loads up and down so that should bring the truck a little over $4000.00 ...

I spend approximately $800 in fuel, Bruegners 30% is about $1200.00 and the Truck payment is about $1000 with all the bells and whistles so that leaves me a little over $1000.00 for the week and I have been going home for about 2 to 2 1/2 days..

This is great!! We know that the average for saying out and busting butt is about $1800 a week and the going home for a few days average is about $1000 a week..

So if you are deciding what to do, this should help..

4th Quarter starting up.. Now is the time to start them good habits of saving back taxes.. Good time to start paying yourself salary or mileage and put the rest into a business savings for emergencies.. Remember trucking is our business, treat the L/P like a business not a personal spending account..

4th Quarter is the last quarter to make and save some money.. Remember the 1st quarter is usually the slowest quarter for revenue so try and put some nuts aside for a snowy day..

Received my Profit and Loss statement today. In revenue earned the 2nd quarter I have been better than 50% of company drivers at Bruenger in profit.. What's this mean? I have made more money than 50% of the other drivers!! Lucky me.. Not turning down loads and not turning down loads. I pay attention to what I need in revenue that week and make it happen, even if I have to haul some cheap freight or go to an area I don't like..

I'm not bragging but am pointing to the fact that you have to work hard at the L/P everyday.. And with good habits you can also start to build a business..

Truck Driver, when we checking in somewhere and there is a whole big area, u don't need to stand 6" from me.. Kinda of weird!! It's called personal space and you where in mine, and you smell like a dirty truck driver.. Use some shower credit and buy yourself a shower..
