Hi guys!! Wow much like George, I have had a crap day, must be in the air.. Made all my drops and sat at the loves for about 5 hours waiting on another load... Finally the dang phone rings, and they have a load that pick-ups tomorrow if I want it.. Hell yah I want it? Do you think I want to sit?¿?.... Lol
So I get to my pick up and checked in, nice lady, but she said it will be noon before I can load.. No problem, I'm a truck driver we are use to hurry up and wait!! Lol
Here in Menasha sitting next to the river just enjoying the evening breZz.. lifevis good as long as I have my wife and kids by my side..
Oh, yes this load goes to Wichita, pays $1500.00 and is a Drip and hook there...
Also been talking to my new buddy George today.. Had to call and yell at the dispatchers for him a little... Not happy with how they have handled today...

Yeah, and trying to find a place to park around Dallas tonight was not fun for him! He was on the hands free with me at the time, so I got to listen to a lot of swearing, haha! He finally found a place and quickly calmed down.
Hopefully they can get him a load in the morning. He's supposed to head back to Wichita for a few things at the office, but he says he's in no rush since they weren't in any rush getting him on the road the other day. As long as it pays good, he'll go wherever.
itaff Thanks this. -
I was talking to Tom last night, and he told me that George has 30 days to have the DOT inspection done. So agreed, I would just get me a couple of runs in this week, the office and dispatch have already waisted to much of his time..

Texas is a freight dead zone.........possible backhauls out of Dallas, Gatorade,Miller beer, used to haul balloons out of Dallas to El Dorado,KS haha.heavy heavy cheap cheap. Possible deadhead to OKC... They like to let you set and wait on a "high paying load". They waste a few days with no pay and when the high paying load never shows you will haul cheap anyway. Sat in Washington state for 5 days before waiting for a backhaul haha.

Yeah, we know Texas is a dead zone, but that's where we live, so ...

10-4......how far are you from Wichita? I would almost leave a spare car at the yard for home time. It would be a long drive but cheaper than dead heading all over in your truck.

We are about 6 1/2 hours from Wichita. We are just south of DFW.

I don't know if they still haul metal fab out of wichita, but if they do they are very light high paying dry van loads. Like 2+ dollars a mile outbound. Weight around 10,000 #. Usually multi stop loads. They will try and talk you out of hauling them but you can make money doing it. That is what I did when I pulled for them. If AJ is his dispatcher he just won't let you pull them as an owner op though. He will tell you it is cheap freight. If your man gets a chance though tell him to try it he won't be disappointed.

That would be a long drive!

The east bound loads are around 2 a mile. West bound pays less. At least that's the way it was when I was there
