So after a bit of frustration, my husband's first week at Bruenger will bring home about $1500 after all fixed expenses and estimated fuel. After this week is through, he'll have about 2600 miles, loaded and empty, and that puts him at about $1.43 all miles after Bruenger's 30%. I have a spreadsheet I made for us to put all the figures in to help us estimate what he needs to bring home to cover all expenses, house and truck. My spreadsheet figures out the truck payments, which actually shouldn't be coming out on this pay, but I'm just throwing that into savings and not going to figure it as "extra" to the house right now. That $1500 is what would be the bring home if a truck payment was taken out. I also figure in the cost of fuel at the pump, so once you add in the savings from the fuel discounts, our bring home will be more than I have figured. :) I'll let you all know when we get the settlement next week.

And just as a recap for what this first week looks like for him, his first load picked up in Wisconsin Friday morning for a drop on Monday morning in Dallas, TX. He came home late Saturday night under that load and left out early Monday morning for the drop. Then he picked up a load yesterday from Dallas up to Goddard, KS that he dropped this morning. He's headed over to Hutchinson to pick up a load that drops this afternoon in Garden City, KS, and then he'll head over to Dodge City to pick up a load heading down towards Houston, TX for a Friday morning delivery. After he drops that load, he'll be deadheading almost 300 miles (yuck) to be home Friday night and all day Saturday, and hopefully they can find him something on Sunday out of the DFW area, and he plans to stay out for 2 weeks.

Well nothing going out of here as of right now, called and booked a load to Herford, TX from Bern, Kansas.. Have Quality Logistics sending Bruenger the load information.. It was 638 miles, and talked them up to $1475.00 for the load.. Delivers Monday but I will have it there by tomorrow.. Usually product out of Bern, Kansas is dog food so no running the refer..

Anyway here is to seeing if we can get this done Bruenger... Just need to receive the e-mail, sign the paperwork and e-mail it back.. Not to hard, I have faith in you guys!! Lol

Then I head up the road and load and go!!

My husband is down around Houston this morning, unloading a trailer full of beef liver...yuck! They might have something for him to pick up down there to deliver in Kansas so he doesn't have to eat all those miles home tonight, but not sure if it's going to work with the times. He's 5 hours from the house, it doesn't pick up until 2 and the football game starts at 7... Unless they can get him in earlier and get him loaded fast, he might barely make it or just be late for the game. We shall see.

    Have a great weekend, fellas!
