I have been in business for over 4 1/2 years and have never been late or fell off because of another broker offered me a better rate even if I lost by booking a bad load. But noticed that the brokers have always the lowest life people and cancelled loads, even when I was half way to pick up and never got paid TONU.
It has also been noticed that the loads have been posted with FCFS but after booking they have been changed to expedited times and strict appointments. I always get the person on phone who does not know anything about the load whatsoever. Always put me on hold for about 10-15 min before answering any thing about the load. 95% of the time the loads which are just posted(and many times they are re-posted again and again) they are answered by the phone answered that it has been covered.
Meaning the loads get booked without any negotiations no matter which market I am in and how fast the loads are being posted. The loading person and the un-loaders are always get there late and are not trained people (I have managed a warehouse in my early age and was able to empty a full truck in fifteen min if I had to cover for a no show worker). And so far have not found a single honest ethical, and fare businessman in all those years I worked whether under Landstar or SWIFT authority.

I always counter with a higher price. Usually I go above what I am willing to do it for.

Today I picked up the check and it was $150 more than I asked

I dont get it... BSNF always treated me good. Light weight van freight from Greenville,NC up to Ohio/Michigan and usually a load back down.

30 DTP and nice folks in the office

The only thing I hated was 4 hours BEFORE detention would start; that they wouldnt budge from and the place in Greenville was bad for taking all 4 hours every time......
