You have the right attitude.......you just need accurate information. I would go over and study Baratones information in the DAC section of this website on Millis, that way you will know what to expect. Good Luck Driver!

Don't give up. Don't give up. -
i'll definitely report back when i hear a few things from companies, i think for now i will recollect myself, take a deep breath, and even though i've become a little discontent with a future at my current job, keep reminding myself i'm still young, things will work out, and most importantly i have a job.
Mike' Thanks this. -
i've checked out primes apprentice course and from what i can see i think i would qualify. i'll just have to to embellish a little on the work history, it'll be verifiable with them but whatever fills that gap in so i can get a job right? i'm gonna start saving up money as well, stay with my current job for at least a year, maybe 2, who knows maybe i can save up the 5k myself in that time. i'm disappointed but thats life, if i really wanna get down on myself all i need to do is remember what i had before this, some crappy 12 dollar an hour POS job delivering appliances with a half drunk or stoned helper working maybe 25 or 30 hours a week, oh well we all do jobs to pay the bills that we hated... i was way too worked up yesterday thanks for everyones kind words i appreciated it a lot!

Look things over well, I would give Millis a call too......I think their program is like $2500 total, and all you do is put down $500 to get things rollling. I heard good things fom both of those companies......nice thing about Millis is your on your own after a few weeks of over the road training, no teaming like Prime. As as long as you keep trading up, thats all that counts.
Hope you have a great weekend! -
what do you mean by trading up? i'll give them a call, 2500 is a lot more feasible then 5 grand for a school around here. whichever i do i will put a lot of thought into it, i'm not very concerned with pay or time away from home, i need the experience so i can get my own rig and be able to do it successfully. for now i'll enjoy my local job that i'm home every night with 2 days off making 600 a week, that is less then 1/4 mile from my house.

"Trading up" = getting a better job.

if you have been over the road before and know what you are doing and have a credit score of at least 580 you can get a new truck for 0 down and a list to lease on with and if you dont like the company you choose you can pull the truck and go some place else. check out drivers for hire and check out the inventory you choose you own trucks I know this as I have bought 3 from them.

I got my bus ticket, and am heading for Memphis this weekend!
