It seems that they take care of their co. drivers and let the O/O sit. Especially if you have a 7 axle setup. My buddy gets 1 load a week and does alot of sitting.:biggrin_25510:
Dispatch doesnt, generally, look for a load until you are empty. They don't know what preplan means. Better hope you don't get a broker load as it will be in the .90 to .98 cpm to the truck and then they get their fingers on it. The co. doesn't have a freight base like they say. Haven't heard of a military load as they brag about and they don't push for tarp fees from shippers. As a co. driver you get 28% of their tarp fee so you might get $14 if your lucky.:biggrin_25512:
Good luck getting something fixed in the Ft. Wayne shop, heard the Indy shop was the place to go.I do alot of dh as a co. driver. Emptied in Mn. and dh to Chicago for an illegal( Heavy 49980#) load of shingles, that they know are heavy and dispatch WILL tell you how to get around the scales.:biggrin_2551:

I'm trying to decide on a company and Buchanan is one of my choices. I've been driving for 9 yrs now. I pulled a flat and step-deck my first year, hauling some OD freight but for the past 8 yrs I've been with the same company pulling a van. I really enjoyed pulling a step-deck and want to get back into it.
I live in the Pittsburgh area and was told by the recruiter that a new account is opening here so I'll be able to get loaded out easily. I'm not sure about coming home though. I'd like to make it home more than every other weekend.
If they will get me home when I need to be, that will work for me.
I will be a company driver, I'm wondering what kind of truck I'd get into. I'm not too big on Freightliner's, I'm driving a Classic at the moment but I'm wondering what kind of trucks they have and if their trucks are good looking and running.
