this is true, BUT i'll suspect the ex-con is more of a higher risk, than the non ex con would ever be. do not forget, the insurance companies (generally) decide who works or who doesn't....ever hear of "risk management"?

and regarding if a man (or woman) decides to not date anymore is not inherent to this discussion.

 

Ever hear of an analogy? We can argue this issue all day and it won't matter, you either have been burned by an ex con or you are close minded and are part of the problem. Can't complain about them going back to jail or not working and being supported by our taxes if no one will hire them. People do change if they want to and are given a chance, not all but some.

 

She is in Buffalo NY. They have CDL training. Only thing I am curious about is in the big house I assume everyone uses the shower and restroom like normal. In the trucking industry not so much. Several months after training and you are driving you will be at the fuel island wondering if the truck in front of you is ever gonna move. Upon further investigation you discover the driver is enjoying the all you can eat buffet. If you ask this person to move they will reply with. It is none of your business " beat it ".

i HAVE BEEN BURNED, by an ex con, many, many years ago, when i co-owned and ran a garage.

so i speak from EXPERIENCE.

having money in the cash register is too much of a temptation. not only for ex cons, but for ordinary working people.

making "cash drops" on a revolving schedule, makes it difficult for anyone to "get to know" the monies available to be stolen.

so, yeah, I HAVE BEEN BURNED......ONCE...and ONLY ONCE. when we'd get a call from the parole board, (since WE DID GIVE SOMEONE A "SECOND CHANCE", we'd tell them (the parole board, to "screw off, NO MORE CONS"....

now, being a driver for nearly 40 years, I WILL CARRY ON WITH MY PERSONAL OPINIONS....

any more questions/thoughts, on how I SHOULD VIEW..."SECOND CHANCES".....????

IF YOU NEVER owned a business, then YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO SWAY MY OPINIONS/THOUGHTS....or to QUESTION THEM.....
