Maybe. Idk the rates here and my 1st 2 checks were only $300. Still gotta have somethin when I jump ship.
-
At this point ill buy my own bus ticket to indy.
06driver Thanks this. -
My truck will auto shut off after 30 minutes even with tractor brakes released. If its somewhere below 30 degrees it will idle indefinitely. It shuts off after 3 minutes if tractor brakes are set.Steel Dragon and king v Thank this.

Our sensors only allow idling if it gets below 20 degrees and even then they are installed right next to the exhaust on top of already not being very accurate.tscottme and Steel Dragon Thank this.

Two weeks is time enough to subject yourself to this over and over and over.
Enough.
Get out find a hotel with your own money, shut the #### thing off. let it gel all night as a punishment to the company.
I have tried to not say anything here as this unfolded. But it's not acceptable at all.
Companies that deliberately kill trucks in the winter time will be trying to kill anyone stupid (Not you, generalities.) enough to try and endure cold enough to die by exposure. Are not companies to work for.
In fact I think there should be a reverse blacklist against companies that do this sort of thing in the dead of winter. Drivers should check this list and not hire on at all. Eventually these companies must choose to run the trucks because in winter a running engine = life. Or go out of business from this industry for no drivers to run freight in winter in freezing trucks.
I don't know how else to express it. -
Whole lot of drama. Chock your wheels, release the brakes and idle. Or go get a motel....and a better job.
tscottme, Getsinyourblood, Steel Dragon and 1 other person Thank this. -
Put a fire proof material next to the exhaust if you can. Tie a bunch of tools together and jam it in there between sensor and exhaust then pack with snow and ice. It'll run.Brickwall and Steel Dragon Thank this.
-
Won't it also idle over 90 deg?
Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
If it will go grab a couple hot hand packs and tape them to the sensor.
Steel Dragon, king v and x1Heavy Thank this.
