    2015 international prostar. ISX15 412,000 miles.

While my truck is idling, my heat in the cab works great. (NOT THE BUNK HEATER) in the bunk space the air is coming out cold.

I don’t believe I have a shut off valve for the coolant line to the bunk. I went under the bunk and popped one of the coolant lines off the evaporator core and hot coolant went everywhere.

Could I have a bad evaporator core?
Or could it be that door thing that plugs in as a sensor or something?
Where could I order the parts from ?

My truck has 2 valves for the bunk heater.
Supply and return lines, both are under the hood by the motor.
Check the A/C is turned off.

A/C is turned off. I checked under the hood I didn’t see any valves. Can you be more specific on where the valves would be please ?

Trace your coolant hose from your bunk to the engine compartment. I have a Freightliner, all trucks function about the same.
    I found this link,

    .09 Prostar heater doesnt work

Ok, next time you are checking for coolant flow, you shouldn't need to remove a coolant line and spill coolant everywhere, just feel the lines at the bunk, if they are both warm/hot, then coolant flow is ok. You likely have a bad temp blend door actuator, they are a common failure item.

    TruckerChance Thanks this.

Thank you very much. I’ll replace that and see what happens.
The lines definitely are warm and coolant flows through.
