Also, you can turn the caps off in your posts--for somebody that is so knowledgable about any and everything should know that caps are considered as "yelling" and you know what I do to people that yell at me? Thats right "tune them out" since they will be back over here in several months telling us all how they were screwed. You have a very small time frame at Celadon, and you probally never even heard of them before (except for maybe seeing their hodgepodge group of trucks every now and then) before you started driving for them. I on the other hand have lived here in Indianapolis for the last 25 years and I thought that I knew it all when I went to work there and didnt listen to anybody, but I found out that everything that I was told by people right here that knew all about them was true and to the point. The do deserve everything bad that people say about them. See you here in about a year when you have met the "real" Celadon. You ought to go over to the Celadon stuff on the "bad board" here and unless you are blind or not even a driver over there, you will have experienced any and all of the problems that these people are talking about. But it is your life and your job and your money--and obviously we cant convince someone who knows it all. Hope you remain "lucky" over there, since you are not the typical Celadon driver--most of their drivers are all about ready to quit at any given time.billsgirl, Harry Boland and melanie Thank this. -
Also, I want to say THANK YOU for sticking up for my thread and my posts..The Challenger Thanks this. -

Dear bunny,
This is billsgirl's boyfriend (bill) I recently quit Celadon (November 17,2008)from lack of consistent miles. I have read a few of your postings. From the experience I had with Celadon, I don't understand what you are so happy about. Don't get me wrong, if you are doing well there, I am happy for you. I have friends that are driving there right now, are maybe getting one good week a month as far as miles go. The average that I heard/got a week was 1400-1800 miles. Dropped on Friday, sit most of the weekend. Actually I went to Laredo and almost fell out of the truck when I got a dispatch after one day. But the problem with that was the miles were split up over the pay period, even you have to admit paying your own tolls and waiting to be reimbursed for them is a pain, and to my knowledge the only drivers with EZ Pass are on the Canadian fleet,( keep that in mind if you get a run from the Chicago yard to the East Coast of Pennsylvania or to the Baltimore yard-its about 175.00 in tolls) the trainer I had at TransAm who drives for Celadon on the Canadian fleet right now and was the reason I came over to Celadon. I talk to him every day, he is hurting for consistent miles. As a matter of fact, he just sat from Friday 12/5 to today. He is in the process of really trying to find another driving job. He has a lot of associates there and it's pretty much the same story from everyone. If you think Celadon is great, you will really LOVE TransAm. I left them to come to Celadon. In hindsight, they ARE a better company. Good luck and be safe. BillHarry Boland Thanks this. -
Have to have a good DM to get the miles it helps

I think that the biggest problem in the trucking indudtry today,is that drivers grovel at the feet of companiies like CELADON.They accept this treatment and praise the company for it.I don't get it.
As for your freind, he should pay for any expenses associated with HIS TRUCK-Company drivers on the other hand, should not..
Thanks for making my point for me.Last edited: Dec 8, 2008

As for T.V ,I have a 15 inch flatscreen, and rarely watch it.When I do,I usually pop in a DVD.
How does this work out at team CELADON- If I don't use the other services,(t.v-internet) and am only intersted in having heat or A.C.Do I still pay half?
Just seems like it would be a lot easier to put in an APU. What do CELADON drivers do when they are waiting to get unloaded at a place with no idling laws like N.Y,Dallas, California, or Wal-Mart?
I guess they just wait in the drivers lounge, huh? -
Well, Harry we get the idea that you will never want to drive for Celadon. Obviously you have put them on the list of companies to stay away from.
