Police Tape: Canada Bus Killer Ate Victim's Flesh

TORONTO A police officer at the scene of a grisly beheading on a Canadian bus reported seeing the attacker hacking off pieces of the victim's body and eating them, according to a police tape leaked on the Internet Saturday.
In the tape of radio transmissions, a Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer refers to the attacker as "Badger" and says he is armed with a knife and scissors and is "defiling the body at the front of the bus as we speak."

Greyhound Canada is removing all ads that were part of a campaign related to "bus rage" in the wake of last week's horrific attack against a Greyhound passenger travelling from Edmonton to Winnipeg.

The campaign featured the slogan, "There's a reason you've never heard of bus rage."

PETA ad compares Greyhound bus attack to slaughtering animals

An animal rights group has posted an ad on its website comparing the recent stabbing and decapitation of a young Winnipeg man to how humans kill animals for food.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals said the advertisement is meant to make people understand how animals suffer when they are killed in slaughterhouses. The group posted the imageless advertisement on its blog site Wednesday.

"PETA's adis meant to spur people to think about the terror and pain experienced by animals who are raised and killed for food. The group aims to demonstrate that animals just like humans are made of flesh, blood, and bone and deserve protection from needless killing," said a statement on PETA's website, also posted Wednesday.

Tim McLean, 22, was stabbed and then beheaded by a fellow passenger as the two rode an eastbound Greyhound bus across Manitoba last Wednesday. The man accused of second-degree murder, Vince Weiguang Li, allegedly engaged in cannibalism during the attack, which occurred just west of Portage la Prairie.

Designed using large, bold type, the ad compares McLean's struggles to those endured by an animal being slaughtered for its meat. It then refers to Li's alleged act of cannibalism before saying, "It's still going on!"

In its statement, PETA said it intended to run the notice in the Portage Daily Graphic, the local newspaper in Portage la Prairie, Man. PETA also sent out a news release to major media outlets across Canada announcing its plan to run the ad in the Manitoba paper, according to a story on the newspaper's website Wednesday.

The paper's publisher Barry Clayton, however, said the advertisement is in bad taste and will not be allowed to run.

PETA acknowledges in the ad itself that the notice may be offensive to some, but spokesman Bruce Friedrich said the goal is to inspire people to think about what they can do to stop violence against animals.

"We can't do anything to bring Tim back or bring his family relief from their suffering. But all of us can ask what we personally can do to decrease our support for this sort of violence," Freedrick said.

PETA is shameless when it comes to the lengths they will go to make a point.

They put up a bill board around Cheyenne several yrs back. In the middle of ranch country where many folks lively hood is raising cattle to end up in the supermarkets and then your table.

It didn't last more than about 4 days if I remember right before some one stripped the bill board during the night.... right beside interstate 80.

Says beheading of city man God's way of punishing us
Members of a notorious U.S. church that's been branded a hate group are coming to Winnipeg to protest at the funeral of Tim McLean Saturday.

A spokeswoman for the Westboro Baptist Church -- which is known for staging protests at funerals of American soldiers who have died in Iraq -- said seven members will picket outside the Westwood Community Church Saturday to let Canadians know that "God hates you, and it's because of your rebellion against his word that this child is dead."

These people certainly aren't Christian, not in any sense.

Phelps-Roper said the church had already scheduled protests for this week in Red Deer, Alta., and Toronto, Ont., when they received news of the Greyhound bus massacre.

"Lo and behold, we were going to Canada and God offered us a gift. The curse of God was put upon you (Canada) when that young man's head was cut off," she said.

Hmmm, Red Deer is just up the road from me (the irony these ignorant a-holes probably don't know is that the region is the "Bible belt" of Alberta), perhaps they could stand next to the road and be mistaken for deer ... I promise I won't swerve.

Phelps group certainly are not christians. They shouldn't even be called a church.

They are an embarrassment to themselves, their parents, America and the world. Along with being idiots.

What I want to know is who is funding them. With all the time they spend protesting you know they don't have jobs. Probably couldn't hold one down even if they had to, they are so nutty.
