    Hey Tug, I've actually been at this place for about 2 months. I got hired for tractor-trailer work but somehow there was always a "hiccup" or "glitch" that kept me from getting my truck. So I've been running dump truck while I wait. We've been rained out all week, and according to my boss, they are now keeping the Pete's. That's the thing, the story always changes. When I was under the impression the Pete's were being sold, I decided I'd have the day-cab assigned to me so I spent about 3 hours last Friday cleaning it out real well, only to find out my boss assigned it to someone else, AFTER telling me I could use it as my daily truck and AFTER he knew I got out there and cleaned the filthy thing. Just bs like that on a regular basis. But I guess we'll see what Monday brings. I'm at the point where I just completely disregard anything that's said becasue it's been nothing but empty promises from the beginning.

    That will depend heavily on where you live. Usually, the bigger city terminals pay the big bucks.

    We get roughly $3-4 more than the union scale, but with no OT. Some states on the other hand, such as Washington, have decided to go above and beyond federal law in mandating OT pay.

    OT can be a double edged sword, more so than people realize. In areas where that's required, the company will go out of it's way to limit it.
