Got popped for chafed air lines, since the prick couldn’t find the hazmat violations he wanted to.Rideandrepair, Feedman, Lepton1 and 5 others Thank this.
-
How bad was it?
Was it really chafed noticeably?
I often wondered how strict they were on that violation? -
That would really chafe my airlines the wrong way...
-
Depends on the officer. The one that grabbed me today loves to harass LTL guys. He grabbed me 3 times in a month once, while most of the troopers down there worry more about the chicken haulers and their crap that always looks like it’s about to fall apart.
I think he sported wood when he saw my “dangerous” placards, and got mad after finding all my hazmat info in order. That’s when this card came out.
Feedman, Rideandrepair, NavigatorWife and 3 others Thank this. -
Ain't that a #####.....
Gotta find something,always.....
I really hope the fmcsa UNDERSTANDS what these inspectors do.....and how they like to get down..
Bastage got me last week monday(yeah driver appreciation week) for not putting a strap around my dunnage, says bungees aren't good enough,no fine but a failing level 2.
Its becoming a joke, let them push us safe drivers outta here, frickin highways will look like a war zone real soonFeedman, Rideandrepair, NavigatorWife and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well, honestly Mac, it is chafed. That said, its not enough to write a ticket for.
Trucking is like life. You meet kind and happy people every day. And you meet ########.
I try to remember the kind people. And forget the others.
But you know that.Rideandrepair and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
Yeah, I know.... I’ll own it. First I’ve had it become any sort of an issue though in almost 19 years of trucking.Rideandrepair and NavigatorWife Thank this.

Well, if they look long enough and hard enough, they'll find something.
I have those wrapped line package thingys. It helps, but I'm sure there's something else that they would find.
That said, I did pass 2 level 1 inspections in 1 day though.
I tried to let them give me a pass on the second one by showing them the paperwork on the first. But nope....
But I passedRideandrepair and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
im not a snitch. but i was talking to a driver once in va. he only had 3 lug nuts and studs on a trailer set. i told him he should get it fixed asap, before he drove anymore. he said he would get it fixed up the road. i said if you leave here. i will have no choice but to call the state police. that set could have came off and killed someone. i had no choice.
Opendeckin, Rideandrepair, snowwy and 1 other person Thank this.
