I am wondering what your opinions are. I will be paying for school myself so when I start at a company I will be free from a contract. The pay I was offered at Prime is a little bit higher but I have heard what most people think of them and I'm not impressed. The few reviews I could find on Butler are much better and they are a much smaller company, but the pay is slightly lower. I guess what I am really asking is do you think that a slightly lower CPM from a Butler is better or worse for slightly higher pay at Prime? the pay difference was 4CPM.
Butler vs Prime?

I... don’t know what to say or where to start. Is this real? I guess a better question is why?BlueThunderr Thanks this.

A little lower cpm doesn't mean a smaller paycheck than with a company that pays a few pennies more cpm.
The longer runs and accessorial pays are the factors.
Where is your location?
Freymiller has runs that average 1000 miles and this company revamped their pay structure this year and I think it starts at $.40 cpm plus automatic detention pay and $50.00 per stop. Pretty sure that's what I read not too long ago.
Look at www.drive4freymiller.com and click on "Recent Grads."

Always ALWAYS opt for the smaller over the larger. When a few pennies is the difference the real question becomes can/will they keep you moving and how much sitting will you be doing.

I also would like to know more about the shippers and receivers Freymiller deals with as well. I am also curious with reffer work is it all live load/unload? Drop and hook percentage?

I'm just outside Phoenix, so that is where I would be based out of. I have seen you recommend Freymiller before so I will give them a call today and see what they are offering. I do remember the recruiter saying the drivers at Butler average 3000 miles a week on the low end. He also said they tend to stay away from the northern states which I am all about. Sounds like the consensus (between here and other online resources) is stick with the smaller carriers, no matter what basically. Thanks all!
