    Check the brakes to see if rust is pushing the pads off. If so, it will need a brake job, they can't be run like that.

    Don't forget to ask about the miles and if that was the first overhaul on that motor.

    19 years old? You will have to be local then or intrastate. If I am not mistaken you will not be allowed to cross state lines till your 21. Illinois Fuel Prices are not the cheapest around. Cheaper then the northeast or Calif but still to high.

    Besides that I can't even lease it on with the carrier I'm with until I'm 21 anyway. This gives me a chance to get it ready for the road before I turn 21.

    That's true....I had to run intrastate until I turned 21 but on my 21st birthday I spent the night in the yard waiting till midnight to leave on an interstate load!

    I'd save up some money instead of buy that truck and maybe get a newer one by the time your of age.

    If you can't work it there is no reason to buy it.

    Why not save your money for two years and then see if you still want to drive,..

    And then buy something that isn't a big ol' money pit????
