I was looking at buying a 2003 freightliner century with a 6nz cat. He wants 14k for it but has 1.1m miles. Has all new fuel system, air lines, alternator, starter, fluids, brakes, and tires. But motor has never been inframed. Is it worth considering buying. Has paperwork on all maintenance.

assuming 40 rears and a 10 speed? 8- 10k, maybe a little more with a 13/18 behind it and brand new name brand rubber (not china)
cores are what you are buying, not a truck to run….
that’s a 30k inframe all day longLast edited: Oct 7, 2024

'03 would likely be an MBN unless someone swapped it out at some point. I'd be looking on that block for the serial number stamped into it.
Diesel Dave Thanks this. -

At 14k if it ain’t all rusted out and clapped out it would be a good truck. Of course you never pay the asking price so I’m sure it can be had for less than 14

It's a 2003 Century Class Freightliner. It's clapped out. Those trucks were rattle trap throw aways.
Texasgordo, Diesel Dave, Crude Truckin' and 4 others Thank this.
