i know there are many variables that go into this but im wondering what kind of fuel mileage i can expect from this truck ?
it has a 525 ni4 cummins , 13sp , 370 rears ...engine has a fresh out of frame overhaul also .
it will be on a dedicated run from omaha to laredo tx and back pulling a spread axle flat with a side kit , heavy going down and light coming back .
and i like to run about 68 mph .
any thoughts ?...thank you .
buying a 2002 classic mid roof .

If you're running anything less than tall 24.5 tires it will suck for economy. Side kits catch lots if wind, and you'll be catching a side wind most of the time running north/south. If it were me, I'd go lopro 22.5 and 3.36 or 3.25 and idle all the way. P.S. N14 was never known for economy

thanks mountaingoat ...its got 24.5 rubber on it and i wasnt to surprised to hear your mpg thoughts on it being that it has the aerodynamics of a barn door in the first place lol.

N14 ,my experience. Fuel mileage on a 120, 7 to 8 ,rpm, 1650 1750. Don't try lugging motor. Overhead needs to be done correctly 4 inlb, on injectors,
Takes special cummins torque wrench.
If they don't have it ,get one. This is the difference nite day. A normal torque wrench does not go that low. If u don't do this ignore all of this have a nice day
