Are you saying you're going to stay company for 10 years?

My plan is to stay company as long as I have to to fully rebuild a truck. And I'm figuring saving 10k a year for 10 years is 100k. So 100k into a 10k beater would be a brand new truck inside and out.

In 10 years, your old beater truck that is all rebuilt, might not even meet the EPA emissions standards to run on the road as a business.

I don't know man..its one thing to have a hobbie and another to plan a long-term investment. But, anyways, don't let anyone stop you..any step forward is better no risks at all.

Or sock that money in the bank, let it collect interest, and then buy a brand new truck with a warranty versus what would then be a 20+ year old truck that may or may not be road legal at that point. ;)

Wouldn't the truck be grandfathered in so to say. Kind of like the cab overs of today. And if I plan accordingly I can always do the engine last and put a newer engine in.
