    Shoot, that Pete don't even need fixed up. It's already got dual chrome stacks and chicken lights!!

    Seriously, if you want the project and have the time and money, you can make a real nice ride out of something like that.

    But that's in the ballpark of what I'm looking for/at. Probably could get a truck up and running within 2 years and be o/o status.

    I think you could do yourself a huge favor and focus on something from the dry southwestern region and spent much of its life there. Craigslist always has cool stuff like that in those areas. Another thing to is trucks are like people, longer they sit idle, more problems they develop. If you can keep her rolling from time to time even if its a drive down the road and back you'll be better off.

    Nothing wrong with a hobby, even if you can monetize the hobby down the road. I'd like to score a nice Mack R model or Superliner, and do about the same with it. Some people build motorcycles, or cars, why not a nice class 8 truck?
