Theres tons of trucks out there for cheap, I have a 99 FLD I cant sell for 12,500. Its running and ready to go, just with a condo sleeper, cant run a 10 car. I am running a cheap 10 car, my friend is running a cabover car hauler. Its possible to start out making money on a beater, especially regional and local. Theres a ton of companies that let olde trucks run. Landstar is one that I have first hand knowledge of. I say go for it, I did!

There are decent old trucks out there for cheap

couple things to remember 90% of the trucks that get parked is for a reason

Get a second opinion so you can see a POS for what it is I bought a truck and was so in love with it I didn't realize it was a little rougher than I thought once I got it home

If you can't work on it yourself don't buy it there are a lot of projects out there that end up never getting finished at repair and body shops I was just at a shop not long ago the guy had the project trucked moved 3 times in 5 years over 15k in body work still not done and it is missing parts and it's a 1.5 ton truck
