It does not help that the Canadian dollar is 36 cents short than the US. How would it work purchasing a US truck being in Canada? Would that not require me to have somewhat of American papers and taxes? Paying US and Canadian...

Not sure how that works, but there must be plenty of KW's in Canada. You'll be a lot happier with the KW, trust me.

What type of Kenworth and engine? I saw a few T600 up to T800.

I've always been a W-900 fan, but the T series is probably your best bet for a fleet truck. Motors,,, good luck there. I'm an old Big Cam Cummins guy, but newer Cummins have a lot of problems. If I were to buy a truck today, it would either be a Cat or a Detroit. Don't get me wrong, I've driven some Freightliners that were great trucks, and a million miles to boot. KW's just are nicer, better dealers and resale might be a little better too.

Are you sure you want to do this? And I'm being honest. The type of truck and motor are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to owning a truck. I was a company driver for 25 years, got my own truck, which I was totally unprepared for, money wise, did it for 5 years and went back to a company truck for another 5. I had my own 15 years ago, and can't imagine what it's like now, with all the regulations. I think insurance is the big killer today. Remember, it's a lot easier getting into it than getting out of it.

    Grijon Thanks this.

Well I mean I own a few straight trucks that operate in the city. I'm not really worried about insurance nor authorities. All of that is being covered by the company.

    201 Thanks this.
