he's a cool guy. He was trying to make his 2011 F-150 faster with all this cheapo bolt on crap, so i sent him a Message with the Gear Ratio from the Shelby Mustang and told him to put it in his truck...2 weeks later he posted the video with the gear i told him to put in it, in his truck. Now it moves lol

This is going to be a matter of opinion and personal choice. You can get plenty of freight with just a 48 ft flat. I have ran a 48 ft for sometime and am switching to a 53 ft step with slider to be canada and cali legal. I get a lot of partials put together so the extra length is nice. I guess the best thing I can say is whatever you pick, make sure your setup is lightweight. This isnt for taking all the 48000 lb cheap loads out there.

I've looked online for some trailers and seen a 2012 reitenouer Big bubba aluminum 48x102 for 38900 now i got to check out the step decks and price. I've run both in the past and prefer the 53' step deck

at mercer, they have all the equipment you need at cost ,also have new and used headache racks. pay for part of it and they deduct the rest. you can lease a flat or step w/no money down. you can get rack and all flat equip for around 2,500 bucks

It's a lease purchase...The problem at Mercer is that the rates are not as solid there as they used to be before they got so big and some of their contractors can't seem to manage the load selection process.

They're still a pretty good company for what they are but they're not nearly as good as they used to be.

    Katz and TennMan Thank this.

Get a stepdeck, the load availability is much more widely based then. And with a 53' step you can haul pretty much any flatbed load...not to mention they are much easier to secure being at waist level
