By myself or team driving?

You can have pets as a solo driver. Some companies have pet policy and some don't.

 

You'll probably enjoy a trucking career much more if it's only you and the pet. Life can be very miserable team driving..
With just you and the pet, you can stop anytime you want to exercise the pet or take a break.
With team driving, you're teammate can get grumpy very quickly with a pet in the truck.

 

Indeed. Whoever told you that is full of beans. 99% of the drivers I've seen with pets were solo.

 

We'll give you some company names that have a pet policy.
You may have to leave the pet at home during orientation, so ask about that.
