Finally going home after 3 weeks and truck's transmission failed 90 miles from the house. It's on its way to Fayetteville. We got another truck in Laurinburg. It is a trainer truck. Could have used the air ride passenger seat and bunk beds the last 6 weeks. LOL Now that I would have a better ride I decided to stay home and catch up on things that needed done here.

It left us sitting about 5 times waiting for it to reset but not for more then 10 mins. 1 time in IN it stuck us on the side of the hwy for 2 hrs. then restarted. It did it again after leaving Iowa one night. Then on our way to Georgetown, SC it did it 2 times luckily right after going throw Charlotte traffic at 5:00. Friday it just didn't want to come home I guess. Let us sit on some back roads for about 10 mins at a time 5 times. Then in the worst part of town in SC it gave up the ghost. It ran great when it was running though.

It probably didn't like all the mountains we had to go through. At least 2 to 3 times a week. PA, W. VA, Tenn, KY, N.C. and VA. They are regulars on his route it seems. It did great on them until it went. Almost 600,000 miles might have had something to do with it. Our 1st clue it didn't like the mountains should have been when it gave out for about 15 mins. after crossing the mountains in western PA.

I can say Jim was a clean truck person. The other trainer truck we got took us 4 hours of hard scrubbing. They are still saying not to much longer on a new truck. Keeping fingers crossed but will miss the air ride on the passenger seat. You think I could talk them into switching seats? LOL
