Bye Bye legacy dash...peterbilt is going all digital.

I see they’ve switched to the kw style switches too.

 

If it has frame mounted exhaust with slider pins for the top exhaust bracket on the cab thats what was probably rattling the most. They sure rattle and squeak like crazy on my 388. Only other squeak is something in the steering column snd its a plastic type chirp that comes and goes randomly.

 

Maybe I'm the odd man out but Peterbilt dashes never really appealed to me. KW always had the nicer dash IMO.

 

Actually the 389 that I drove to our shop was very quiet. It did not have a air ride suspension. However it was also a new truck. That style dash seems to hold up better. Though The 567 is the absolute worst offender in my book, eapecially the cheapo cup holders.

 

Can you still order these trucks with full gauges on the B panel? That would make it look a little better. I dont know why they had to mess with a good thing.. the little screen was perfect.

 

You know how your average engineers are, gotta #### something up or their job really serves no purpose.

 

Besides the corvette dash I'd have to agree with you.

 

Thanks so much for putting those up...just waiting on the custom truck builders to eliminate SmartNav and gages on the B panel and build in custom audio powered by a tablet...

 

Corvette dash is my least favourite lol.

 

Yes on the exhaust and the hollow sounding rattle from the sliders. But my 579 has the same sliders but none of the rattle. The other noises sounded like plastic on plastic rubbing together, one squeak in the dash area and one that sounded like it was coming from above the passenger seat.
