Bye Bye Mask

We still know almost nothing about Covid. So stay locked up and masked up as long as you like. SMDH

 

Very true, and good points. You change the plan as you get new information. But hear me out...

The virus is spread by "droplet". People hear that word, and they think of the droplets you can feel when you sneeze. This is further exacerbated by pictograms of people peeing on eachother, then one person puts on pants and gets less on them, then they both put on pants, and now you don't get any of his pee on you.

Problem is, those aren't the droplets we're worried about. We're talking aerosolized droplets. That's why Corona can stay suspended in mid air for several hours, but still not be considered "airborne". What that means, is if you can see your breath through the mask, or cigarette smoke, or vape smoke, etc, then you can still transmit Corona through the mask. So if someone is shopping at Walmart and has Corona, then you walk through the same aisle two hours later, you can still catch it, even though you were both wearing a mask. That's why people hate masks. They don't work. That's also why Fauci is now saying to wear multiple masks at once, instead of just one.

The biggest problem here in America, is the whole thing got politicized. Wearing a mask, or not wearing a mask got tied to your political allegiance. Instead of pushing the real science, you now had to push whatever the agenda was from your side of the aisle. That's where the childlike pictograms come into play. It looks good, and it kind of even makes sense. Problem is, the actual science of aerosolized droplets is conveniently left out. That is a problem.

 

Well CBS, who produces 60 minutes seems to believe that he actually said it on their network.

When it comes to preventing coronavirus, public health officials have been clear: Healthy people do not need to wear a face mask to protect themselves from COVID-19.

You make good points, and I actually tried not politicize it....I mean, god man, everything gets politicized these days. Many folks talk about freedom of speech but never utilize from of listening....if that makes sense. Lol, anyway one poster said it's the luck of the draw....that may be true. Anyone of the viruses, diseases etc are really crapshoot. There's more info about covid now then there was a year ago, but still too much uncertainty for my liking. I didn't listen to solely Fauci, but there have been many local health experts that are playing it safe. I have been lucky so far, and I hope to stay that way. Until they figure it all out, I'll continue to stay in my truck and wear the mask. I don't necessarily like living this way, but I'm going to do what's necessary to attempt to protect myself. I gotta do what's necessary to stay on the road, my family counts on it.

 

All of those were published when it was in its infantile stages. Not as much was known then.

 

You need to trust in whomever the government trots out as an expert regardless of whether or not said expert has seen a patient in forty seven years.

 

So they have learned that cloth and/or paper has magically become more effective in protecting vs a virus since then?

First year I was OTR I was sick constantly. Going coast to coast through every flu and cold strain; tramping through pisslots.

Then my immune system got tougher and I barely get anything anymore. Had a mild cold in March for a few days and have been healthy since.

 

I ain’t gonna hide under my bed, you can do that if you like, but you can’t make others do it.
