I don't blame you. Check this out:
What was I thinking? Worked at Millis back in 2020 went to MTI and learned how to drive. Left after 6 months due to family member health issues and I needed more hometime. Fast forward to March 2025.
Came back and went OTR. Was out for 21 days and didn't ever break 2000 miles per week. Transferred to Midwest regional. Miles the same. Never could break 2000 miles in a week. Found out today that only the drivers hired after June 1st 2024 are on a different pay protection plan. Used to be $1200 per month gross. Now is only $900. Final straw was my paystub today. Was out 4 days Midwest regional and after paying $248 in benefits and paying $58 in taxes I owed Millis $9.63. That was the last straw for me. Millis is not even close to the same company. Just my experience.

As one for whom owing the company money is simply unheard of, what does that even look like on a pay stub?

JolliRoger, JOHNQPUBLIC and bzinger Thank this.

35 cents per mile and 10 dollars an hour detention pays are a slap in the face unless you're a brand new driver. Even then it's very questionable.

Do yourself a big favor and cancel EVERYTHING that you've allowed them to deduct. That would have given you 250 dollars alone.

All that health insurance, dental and vision can be had for free at Healthcare.gov

Your income is low enough under (21k roughly) to qualify for expanded Medicaid (Part VIII) thanks to Harry and his Obamacare.

We all pay FICA specifically for this stuff. Use it!

Thanks for the ideas. I didn't know I was eligible for Obama Care if I worked for a company that offered health insurance. I'll remember that tip.
As for pay the paystub isn't easy to read. I'm being paid .35 cents per mile taxable and .10 cents per mile perdiem. I have 4 years driving experience.

I turned in my truck that same day to Millis so I'm no longer an employee.
Attached is the current pay scale at Millis.
