I have a C12 in my dump truck - great engine. A couple years ago died on the road. Was getting fuel. Would turn over. Would try to fire with ether.
Had Cat tech come out to my house and diagnose with his computer. Ended up being the cam sensor. Part was around $170 and house call was around $200. Not sure if this is your issue but sounds similar. Cam sensor on my C12 is located at front of engine block on passenger side (right behind the fan if I recall.) Very easy to replace. Might be able to grab one at a wrecking yard. The Cat tech carried an extra used cam sensor on his service truck because this was a fairly common problem with the C12.
Not sure if this is your issue but hope it helps.tetemadi Thanks this. -
I think the C-12 in the MTVR is a 70 pin with two speed/timing sensors.

Yes will run one one, but takes longer to start on one.

Rpm gauge work when you fired on ether.

Which port do I read the fuel pressure from? Hopefully, I'll have enough time tomorrow to check the fuel pressure, if not then I will Sunday.
