I've got a 6NZ cat that I am currently overhauling. I had to replace the cam due to roller failure on one of my rockers. I am now searching for the most practical way to replace my rollers. Either replacing just the rollers and bushings which can be ordered off of Highway and Heavy parts or trying to find good used rocker assemblies with shafts and all. Anybody have any experience dealing with this? How about interchange issues with rocker assemblies? Can later model shafts and rockers be used, etc? Thanks in advance for any wisdom you can share.

You really should just fork out for some new ones. Sucks I know but will save you in the long run. Those components have spec ranges before they need to be replaced. Rocker cam run-out etc.
Out of spec and they will fail. -

Thanks for the input guys. I got a little deeper into my rocker arm problem and found my shafts to be nearly perfect and only 4 rollers were pitted out (1 was ruined). I hope I dont regret my decision but I ended up replacing the rollers on the 4 bad ones. I got the parts off HHP and the pressing the roller bushings out/in was no problem. Should have it running soon I'll let yall know.
swaan Thanks this. -
IN case anyone cares..... Ive got 100k miles on it now with no problems from the rebuilt rockers
